Tony Bataska, UC Davis

Tony attended Excel throughout his junior high school and high school years. He was a multi-week camper each summer who dedicated himself to becoming the best he could be. He played high school ball at Northgate High School where he was a four year Varsity Player and one of the best pivot men in the East Bay. He was MVP of the Ygnacio Valley Tournament, First Team All-BVAL and Third Team All County. He then went on the UC Davis and played briefly before emerging in his true passion, music. Tony is a great songwriter and performer who has produced several CD's. He currently manages the UC Davis Ticket Office while preparing for the CPA Exam.

What Excel Meant to Me: Excel was the highlight of every summer, whether I was playing or coaching. It was the place that fed my desire to be the best competitor and player I could be. The knowledge and motivation available at Excel is phenomenal and I wouldn't have been half the player I was without that guidance.
