Jim Simpson, Solano Junior College

Jimmy was a regular during the early years of Excel. He attended camp for six years and credits the
camp for developing his game. Jim was a 6'5" guard, skilled enough to score inside or out. He is
remembered as one of the most talented players in the "Early Excel Era." He went on to Concord High
School where he still is in the Top 10 in most offensive and rebounding categories. He was one of the
most dominant players in the Bay Area and led Concord to some of their finest seasons. Jim was a
two-time MVP of the Diablo Valley Athletic League. He continued his career at Solano College
where he was an outstanding player.
