Ryan Whalen, Cincinnati Bengals Wide Receiver

Ryan Whalen, NFL

Ryan was a mainstay at Excel from 4th grade up through junior high school. A great competitor and
shooter, Ryan was one of the hardest working players in Excel History. He went on to Monte Vista
High School where he excelled in football and in basketball. In basketball, he was an NCS Champion,
 in football, he caught 80 pases for 1200 yards with four touchdowns while earning All State Honors.
He then walked on at Stanford where he made an immediate impact and earned a full scholarship in
his second season! He and Andrew Luck were a formidable combination on the Farm. After his brilliant
career at Stanford, Ryan was selected in the sixth round of the NFL draft, the first Stanford Receiver
to be drafted since 2003. He has contributed at receiver and on special teams in his NFL career.
