Rick Croy, San Francisco State

Rick was an Excel Legend, attending multiple sessions each summer since he was in the 5th grade! Excel was Rick’s summer passion where he improved and competed daily with his “excel friends." Rick also served as a coach at Excel for many years and still contributes as a lector at camp. Rick played at Northgate High School where he was a sharpshooting All-League Player who led the Broncos to the State Championship in 1995. A deadly three point shooter, solid ballhandler, and outstanding defender, he then went on to become an All-League player and team captain at San Francisco State University. At San Francisco State, he was named to the All California College Athletic Association Team three times. He has had a great collegiate coaching career, serving as the youngest Assistant Coach in the country at UC Riverside and then moving on to the Head Coaching position at Citrus College were he led the Owls to the California State Championshiop. After a brief stint as an Assistant Coach at Saint Mary's College, he was appointed the Head Coach at Cal Baptist University where he has created the amazing culture he first learned at Excel.
