Jayne was a regular at Excel from elementary up through junior high school. She then returned toExcel as a coach where she continued to serve as a marvelous role model for young players. Jayne
could do it all, an amazing inside player who had great outside skills. She went on to Carondelet HighSchool where she was an McDonald's All-American as and senior and was selected as the MVP inthat particular game. She was Gatorade State Player of the Year and named a WBCA All-American.Jayne continued her amazing success at the collegiate level, being named the Pac 10 ConferenceFreshman of the Year. As a sophomore, Jayne averaged 15.0 ppg and 8.8 rebounds per gameearning an All Conference First Team Selection. Jayne's career high point total was 46 points, which
stands as the third highest point total in NCAA Tournament History. She also finished her career asthe leading rebounder in Pac-10 history, surpassing Lisa Leslie's record of 1214 rebounds.
Jayne led Stanford to the Final Four three consecutive seasons from 2008-10. Jayne was selected by the San Antonio Silver Spurs in the first round of the 2010 WNBA draft.
