Clayton Tanner, SF Giants

Clayton was a great basketball player at Excel before enrolling at De La Salle where he emerged as a major league pitching prospect. Clayton was selected in the third round of the 2006 Major League Baseball Draft and spent the next six years in the San Francisco Giants minor league system, climbing as high as Double A. Clayton compiled a 51-43 record with a 3.64 ERA in his great minor league career.

In 2013, Clayton signed with the Cincinnati Reds where he competed on their Triple A Louisville affiliate. In March, 2013 he signed a minor league contract with the Baltimore Orioles. Clayton pitched well for the Australian National Baseball Team in the 2013 World Baseball Classic.
