"Mr. Excel," The first "marquee" player in Excel History, Brian was the first MVP in Excel History. Brian went on to Clayton Valley High School where he was a legendary figure, inducted into the Clayton Valley Hall of Fame as a Team and League MVP, and one of the top scorers in Clayton Valley History. Brian went on to become a four year starter at Eastern Washington and an All Big-Sky Selection as he led the Eagles to the Big Sky Championship game on ESPN! After a brief stint in the CBA, he embarked on a coaching career and was instrumental in three State Championships at Northgate and at De La Salle. Revered as a high school coach, Brian then gave back to his community as a youth basketball coach and athletic administrator at Saint Monica’s Parish in Moraga.

What Excel Meant to Me: "More important than the tools it gave me to be successful at the high school and collegiate level, Excel taught me the importance of hard work and responsibility. I still have all my "Excel Report Cards" from as far back as 31 years ago. From Coach Allocco to Coach Cattano, to Ray Horwath to Richard Allocco to Dr. John Stein the memories I have of the coaches who mentored me at Excel in Basketball are forever emblazoned in my heart. They challenge me to provide the same experience to the thousands of boys and girls we motivate and inspire each summer.
