Bart Houston-Wisconsin Football

Bart Houston Rolling Out

Bart was a great competitor at Excel throughout Junior High School. Bart took his competitive fire and leadership to De La Salle High School where he was an outstanding basketball player in his freshman season and then zeroed in on football where he was a top notch quarterback. Bart holds many of the DLS passing records once held by another Excel Legend, Matt Gutierrez. His senior year at DLS he was ranked the No. 7 quarterback in the country amassing 1,999 yards and 16 touchdowns through the air and 338 yards and 19 touchdowns on the ground. His career numbers were amazing as he accumulated 5,178 yards through the air completing 272 of 437 passing attempts. He led the Spartans to three state championships and played in the Semper-Fidelis All-American Bowl and was named All-State in his sophomore and junior seasons. Bart went on to play quarterback at Wisconsin, where he lettered as a redshirt freshman and threw a touchdown pass in the opening game of his sophomore season.
